Health faculty at King’s are involved in diverse multi-million pound research projects which have a global impact, including pioneering projects and high-profile collaborations with international partners. Research conducted at the College brings together researchers from a variety of subject areas and disciplines and our partners include the Cicely Saunders Institute, the Francis Crick Institute, the National Institute of Health Research. and King’s Health Partners (the Foundation Trusts of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and South London and Maudsley NHS). As part of the recent REF returns, King’s College research income was in excess of £177 million in 2012/13, £186 million in 2014/15, and £193 million in 2015/16. Globally, King's and its health partners have strong collaborations and partnerships in many countries and/or regions, for example, China, India, Brazil, Latin America, Middle East, etc, and is currently engaged in a number of high value health, educational and clinical research projects in these areas. Its Global Institutes are interdisciplinary research groups that bring together research on issues around the culture, health, politics and economics of emerging powers, much of which is having a tangible impact on policy around the world. ing’s College London is one of the top 25 universities in the world (2016/17 QS World University Rankings) and the fourth oldest in England. King’s offers its own degrees and credits of the University of London. A research-led university based in the heart of London, it has more than 29,600 students from 150 countries worldwide with some 8,000 staff. King's has an outstanding reputation for world-class teaching and cutting-edge research. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) King’s was ranked 6th nationally in the ‘power’ ranking.
